The best link in bio for streamers is one that knows you're live

Most link-in-bio pages don't change when you start streaming. Here's how to set up a link in bio that lights up when you go live on Twitch, YouTube or Kick.

Here's what usually happens. You go live, post "LIVE NOW" on X, and someone taps the link in your bio. They land on a list of buttons, and the stream is the fourth one down, next to a merch link from last year.

A link in bio for streamers should do one job better than anything else: get people into the stream while you're live. The rest of the time, it should show your clips, schedule and socials.

  1. A live state. When you're streaming, the stream should be the first and biggest thing on the page.
  2. It should switch on its own. You won't remember to edit your bio every time you go live.
  3. A schedule. When you're offline, people should see when you're on next.
  4. Clips that look like clips. Your best moments as thumbnails, not text links.
  5. Every platform in one place. Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok, Discord and merch.

How Drawr handles going live

Drawr is built around this. Here's what happens when you start a stream:

  • The lamp on top of your drawer turns red and says On air.
  • An On air drawer slides out at the top of your page with a big live card: your stream title, how many people are watching, and a Watch now button.
  • The tab title changes to show you're live, so it stands out in a visitor's browser.
  • When you end the stream, the page goes back to normal on its own.

It works with Twitch and YouTube, with Kick in beta. If you stream somewhere else, tap Go live now in your editor, paste your stream link, and the drawer lights up for up to 12 hours.

Set it up in five minutes

  1. Claim your name at getdrawr.com/yourname.
  2. Open Live in the editor and add your channel names.
  3. Add a Note with your schedule, like "Mon, Wed, Fri at 9pm ET".
  4. Make a Videos drawer and paste links to your best clips. Each becomes a thumbnail tile.
  5. Make an Elsewhere drawer for TikTok, Discord, X and your merch, and set its tiles to small so they line up like app icons.
  6. Put getdrawr.com/yourname in your Twitch panels, your YouTube about page, and your bios.

Small things that help

  • Pin your best clip big. A large, sharp thumbnail gets more taps than any text.
  • Use a slide-out drawer for your setup. Viewers always ask about your gear. Put your setup in a slide-out panel with a photo and a list, so they can read it without leaving.
  • Watch what people spark. Visitors can star the things they like. If one clip keeps getting sparks, make more like it.
  • Your link previews itself. When you share your Drawr link, the preview image shows your photo and what's inside, so even the link looks like you.

The best time to win a new viewer is while you're live. Your link in bio should know that.
